Mobile Phone Repair Services I Recommend

Fair Mobile Phone Repair Stores are difficult to find. The store I recommend knows electronics intimately. Most stores can slap a phone back together to make it work but this store follows protocol on testing and fixing the assembly properly.

iPhone 4 with Unlimited Talk, Text, and 3G Internet for $60 a month

Merry Christmas Everyone!

People love the iPhone but they don’t like the plan of the price that the Big Companies like AT&T or Verizon offer.

One customer I talked to keeps a plan that cost $120 a month for his iPhone because he has the grandfathered Unlimited 3G internet.

For a while there was no feasible solution.

When the Verizon iPhone 4 came out in February 10, 2011, there was some promise to use it on carrier like Mobi PCS. Some overzealous stores promised that it could be used on Mobi PCS with full functionality before the phhone came out.  Six months later, still no store in the state (or nation for that matter) was able to place the Verizon iPhone on another network with data capabilities such as internet.

There were two popular choices for the 3G iPhone and iPhone 4.

Simple Mobile

Unlock the iPhone it for Simple Mobile, a company that uses T-Mobile’s network and have Unlimited Talk, Text & Internet for only $50 a month flat.
The down side is that you would use 2G Speeds in a world where 3G is the norm with 4G on the horizon.

You can use the iPhone on H2O Wireless, a company that uses AT&T’s network for Unlimited Talk & Text with Internet for $50 without having to Unlock the Phone. The only problem is that h2o wireless limits data at a measly 250 mB a month in an age where most youtube goers and facebookers use more than a 3 times that amount each month.

h2o wireless

SEPTEMBER 2011, h2o wireless launches $60 Unlimited Plan

h2o wireless owned by locus communication is a company that buys minutes and data usage off AT&T Wireless now offers  a $60 Unlimited Plan.
This includes unlimited talk, text, and internet (with $20 international long distance). While this is promising, many people are wary of this too good to be true offer. I’m sitting back and watching to see how Unlimited is Unlimited. I see some companies define it as 2GB while others define it has 5gb of data usage at  the dismay of many users. For the average user, 2gb may seem like unlimited and at $60 a month, that’s a deal!

As of 2012, h2o discontinues Unlimited Plan

H2O has capped data usage to 1GB a month, However Straight Talk and Net 10 has $45 Plan.

Thank you for reading,

I do carry Locus Communication services such as h2o minute plans with h2o sim cards for sale. I do accept mobile phone payments for Simple Mobile and h2o wireless by selling PINs.

What do Mobi PCS, Revol Wireless, and Metro PCS have in common?

What do Mobi PCS, Revol Wireless, and Metro PCS have in common?

They all have Harry Hopper of Columbia Capital. Columbia Capital is a major venture capital company who finances many tech companies such. They have built many companies such as Nextel. Click here for Columbia Capital’s portfolio.

Mobi PCS est 2006.

This is an excerpt of Harry’s current background:

Harry is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Mobi PCS, Open Mobile, Public Mobile and Revol Wireless. His past board seats include Affinity Internet (acquired by Hostway), Broadslate Networks (acquired by DSL.net), Cellular One of East Texas (acquired by MTPCS), Columbia Spectrum Management (acquired by P-Com), Digital Television Services (acquired by Pegasus Communications), DSL.net (NASDAQ: DSLN), Equinix (NASDAQ: EQIX), MetroPCS Communications (NYSE: PCS), Pegasus Communications (NASDAQ: PGTV), Pihana Pacific (acquired by Equinix), and Xemod (acquired by Sirenza Microdevices). Previously, Harry served as President of The Columbia Group, Inc., Columbia Capital’s former affiliate investment banking arm. Prior to joining Columbia Capital, Harry served as Executive Vice President of Bachtel Cellular Liquidity, LP, a wireless investment fund. Prior to Bachtel, he was the founder of Sky Broadcasting Corporation and AFSC Corporation, and, earlier, a corporate finance and transaction lawyer with Cummings & Lockwood and Union Carbide.

Revol Wireless is a regional mobile phone service provider similar to Mobi PCS in Ohio. The CEO of Revol Wireless is Bill Jarvis who is the founder and CEO of Mobi PCS, Hawaii.

Mobi PCS is now on it’s 5th year of business. I don’t know what the future holds in the next year or the next five years for indirect dealers like me. Technology can be unpredictable at sometimes. With the potential AT&T/T-Mobile merger, iPhone released on various mobile service providers, larger companies entering the prepaid market.

All I know, is I do my due diligence as a young entrepreneur by studying the market, reading about companies, and also building relationships.

Terry Revnak, former VP of sales at Mobi PCS is now the VP of Sales in Sopogy, he world’s leading developer of micro concentrated solar power.

Is this the next big tech industry if done right?

———————————————————————————————–

I am only 23 years old. I’ve experienced and built relationships with many people in the mobile phone industry in Hawaii.

I left my formal education in 2007. I still enjoy learning about business through experience and observation.

As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said,
“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.”

Thank you all for your support.
The industry has changed and I continue to operate my phone retail store,
but if you see me out and about traveling with my other projects, please know that for entrepreneur, we must think ahead.

An entrepreneur’s fate does not lie in the hands of an employer.

For me, I must think ten steps ahead.

Pray. Read. Educate. Establish more relationships. Network. Maintain relationships. Pray more.

Flash Phones to Mobi PCS – Why we use the term Unlock.

The term Flashing is better described as the process to convert a phone from Sprint or Verizon over to Mobi PCS.

-In the process, we overwrite the carrier settings and replace it with Mobi PCS settings.-

This is different from GSM unlocking, which we can make a phone that is limited to one carrier such as T-Mobile or AT&T and “unlock” it so it can be used on over hundreds of mobile phone service providers world wide.
When we flash a phone to Mobi PCS, you can only use it on Mobi PCS. If you need it for another company, we would have to flash the new service provider settings.

Mobi PCS est 2006.

Why then do we use the term “Unlocking” for the past few years?

When I first opened my store in 2007, there were a handful of companies that specialized in GSM Unlocking. GCI Wireless, Upnext Wireless, a few others, and me.
Though I ran a small operation, I had the specialized equipment and dongles.

It was also the time when the iPhone had rapidly growing sales. As popularity rose, many people then found ways to use this AT&T exclusive phone to use on other companies all over the world including T-Mobile USA.

The terms “unlocking” and “jailbreaking” became well known.

“Unlocking” was a term that we use to define allowing a phone to be used on another carrier. Rather than explain what “flashing” entails,  Mobi PCS promoted the slogan “WE UNLOCK PHONES.” They printed many though many banner and flyers with this.

Mobi PCS Stores and Dealers do not offer GSM Unlocking.
When I started, I was the only store that lead in CDMA Mobi PCS Flashing and GSM Unlocks,
the only market where I fell behind was in GSM iPhone unlocks which was the strength of companies such as iSpencer and Upnext Wireless.

Unlock Hawaii will be featured on TV, Crazy Deals OC 16

Unlock Hawaii will be featured on television in it’s 5th year of business.

I first started my company at the age 19 in 2007 in an area where it is difficult to start or operate a feasible business. Thank God 4 years later, I’m still here.

I had the opportunity to work with radio personality Kreyz Oshiro, where I met with him to have a feature on a TV Show. It will be on OC 16 Thursday September 22 at 9PM.

In all my years, of retail sales, I did many forms of advertising: direct mail, cold calling, newspaper ads, following up over the telephone, email, online classifieds, social networking, online video, blogging.

This is the first time to be featured on television.

It is also a great example of focusing on establishing yourself as the leading authority or expert in your industry and maintaining strong business relationships, which sometimes means promoting business to others in your industry, corresponding through mail with thank you cards, making purchases with multiple major vendors and offering services to them, as well as exchanging valuable information. It is also important to keep active in the community as I am part of the Filipino Chamber of Commerce, Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association, and attend some Believer in Business Network.

Thank you Kreyz Oshiro for making a major impact in my life as a young entrepreneur.

I thank God. Goes to show that with hard work and running business ethically, you don’t have to search for advertisers for business.

If you are the best at what you do, people will come and support you.

Thank you everyone for your continued support,
